Maximum flexibility, high-quality content and high practical relevance are the key features of the online study programmes in German or in English at IU. Under the motto “remote but close” the private university attaches great importance to excellent service before and during the study programme so that prospective students and enrolled students have access to individual consultations when questions or problems arise.
In each of more than 80 study programmes students are provided with targeted preparation for a wide range of managerial tasks and learn to solve specialised problems reliably.
To be optimally adapted to the circumstances of the students, IU has eliminated on-campus attendance phases during the study programme. To give students the flexibility they need to choose where and when they take exams, students can choose from online exams, 40 study centres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as 130 Goethe Institutes abroad.
Innovation is also not just lip service. It is practiced with innovative teaching methods that enable students to study with multimedia anywhere. As the first German university, IU embraces Open Innovation and offers opportunities for active development of the study programme with their portal “create-your-studies.de”.
